This is mad!!

This is mad- I've just found this report from a Bloxham football match a few years ago - I remember these games!
This is half a match report - the whole lot would keep you here reading it all week.

Bloxham started the game against a stiff breeze but were immediately in their stride with an early Craig Lynes shot after good work from Louis Chadwick down the left flank. In another flowing move Robbie Catling found Charles Hawkins with an early ball who in turn sent Chadwick away down the left once more and his exquisite cross gave Ryan Wilson a simple tap in at the far post to open the scoring. Luke Hodson then sent another lovely through ball to Charles Hawkins but his shot was well saved by goalkeeper James Hicks. Only a last ditch tackle by Josh Kayter denied Hawkins again after more good build up play between Catling and Alex Auld. Moreton stirred and a good shot by Paul Whitehouse tested Matthew Brice in the Bloxham goal but his handling was secure.
Bloxham went two goals up when Dan Welling found Hawkins up front in a 2v1 situation and he squared for Wilson to score easily. Immediately afterwards a wonderful long Sam Allen pass sent Hawkins away on goal but his first touch was a little heavy and he lifted his shot over the bar. Welling then set up Ryan Wilson who really should have bagged his hat trick but he dragged his shot wide. In another flowing move Robbie Catling, Welling and Chadwick combined and Ryan Wilson was nearly on the end of another tantalising Chadwick cross. Wilson then unbelievably sent the ball over the bar from two yards out after a good low cross from Charles Hawkins but he made amends moments later when Hawkins set him up again to make it 3-0 and this time he made no mistake to claim his hat trick.
Moreton had a late chance to reduce the deficit but a neat flick by Josh Kayter at the near post went over the bar and Hawkins was denied at the other end when he had the ball in the net but was adjudged off side from Wilson's pass. The first half finished as it began with another sweet Bloxham passing movement when Catling found Craig Lynes who sent a brilliant diagonal ball to Charles Hawkins but his shot flew just wide. The score remained 3-0 at half time with Bloxham well worth their comfortable lead.

Feels so strange reading these after a few years, there's loads on the website! We've got loads in a folder somewhere but reading them on the internet makes it seem like we were a Prem side.. not the Witney & District league!
